Old-world skill. Practical repair.

Buy quality. Maintain it. Keep riding in it.

A failed zipper, open seam or worn strap does not automatically mean a well-made item has reached the end of its life. Karen approaches repair by first understanding how the piece was built, why it failed, and whether it can be put back into reliable service.

Craftsmanship you can actually see.

Repair is part sewing, part construction knowledge, and part judgment. The goal is not to hide wear behind a quick patch. It is to make a thoughtful repair that respects how the item is meant to work.

That hands-on experience is especially important with tall riding boots, where the zipper, leather, elastic, snaps and fit all have to work together.

Do you repair riding boot zippers?

Yes. Karen replaces riding boot zippers and sliders, along with selected patches, elastic, snaps, spur rests and snap tabs.

Can I mail Tucci boots from another state?

Yes. Leatherwork by Karen offers out-of-state repair service. Contact Karen before shipping so the repair, turnaround and sending instructions can be discussed.

Do boots have to be clean?

Yes. Boots must be washed with warm soapy water and dried before drop-off or shipping. A $50 cleaning fee applies to boots that arrive dirty.
